What you'll learn in this course

Safety for the Trades

In this unit, students are introduced to essential safety protocols and practices for working in various trades. Emphasis is placed on understanding the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper tool handling, and workspace safety. Through online simulations and interactive lessons, students will learn to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures in a virtual environment.

Measurement and Technical Drawings

Unit 2 focuses on the fundamentals of measurement and the creation of technical drawings. Students will learn to accurately measure materials and use online tools to create detailed technical drawings. By mastering these skills, students will be able to plan and execute projects with precision and clarity, ensuring that their virtual designs are both accurate and feasible.

Technology and the Environment

Design and Build Process

Unit 4 guides students through the entire design and build process, from concept to completion. Sketchup App

In this unit, students will become proficient in using the SketchUp app, a powerful tool for creating detailed 3D models.
